PDQ Door donates a new, insulated garage door, took down the old door and installed the new one, at no cost for the Camden Public Library

“Thanks to the combined effort of volunteers, other nonprofit organizations, businesses, and a grant from the Maine Community Foundation, the Camden Public Library now has a book shed that can be used year round, even in the coldest and snowiest months. To show off the new facility, the Library will hold its first-ever book sale in the shed on June 2, 3, and 4.

‘This project is a terrific example of what can be accomplished when so many helping hands and organizations chip in,” said Jean Freedman-White, chair of the shed project. “With the help of groups like Maine Community Foundation and Midcoast Habitat for Humanity, and individuals like David Feldman, we were able to create a professional-quality renovation, on schedule and on budget.’”
